The Joitiba College of Nursing, Bhandu (JCN) represents a shared vision and a collaborative effort of Mr. Bhogilal Laljibhai Patel and his team of committed professionals and family members.
This vision began to take form as early as 1978 when the present Chairman Mr. Bhogilal Patel decided to open social service centers and educational institutions in his native place Valam, a tiny village, nestled in the milk district of Mehsana in Gujarat State of India.
From the academic year 2008-09 the trust has established the Joitiba College of Nursing with an intake capacity of 30 seats.
This college is permitted by Government of Gujarat and recognized to Gujarat Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council and affiliated with North Gujarat University, Patan.
We started this college with the objectives of training the students to become competent nurses for first level positions in nursing, to provide quality care in hospitals and to community and thereby contributing to health care of our nation.
The campus is situated on a beautifully landscaped 25-acres land at Bhandu.
We wish to brand our students not only as a professional thinker but also as an enterprising performer. Our imaginations get its sources to a large extent from the enormous potential hidden in an individual. Our aspiration is to enrich the nation with intellectual values and to keep update with the different and new diseases and its management.
Our institution is self-contained and aptly situated for creating the perfect ambiance for students to learn. Each faculty team is well structured, comprehensive, well informed and well focused to provide input. We lay strong focus on ensuring that our students have the opportunity to enter into a successful career ahead. We constantly endeavor for the magic bullet that will revolutionize our institutional culture.

Our aim is to provide an educational programme through which the nursing graduate will be prepared to assume responsibilities in the primary, secondary and tertiary care of the people, as a professional nurse. The main aims of the institution are to promote health in rural and slum section of the society and participatory development process in rural and urban areas along with maintaining transparency and professionalism with an eye for the better performance and social accountability.

Our Institute was established in 2008 to meet the ever-growing demand for trained professional Nurses for Health Care Industries. Our Nursing Program is approved by Indian Nursing Council, Gujarat Nursing Council, Government of Gujarat and affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University. Patan.
In order to develop overall personality students are encouraged to conduct and participate in various interactive Programmes involving faculty and eminent personalities from various hospitals and Institute.

Students at Joitiba College of Nursing receive training in state-of-the-art knowledge from our distinguished faculty members, as well as from many visiting expert clinical preceptors in North Gujarat area. Our graduates, who will lead nursing in the next century, are prepared to work in community, hospitals and related settings, in private health care centers and in collaborative practices with physicians.
The faculty of the institute are of experienced professional nurses who hold academic degree like B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, M.Phil and Doctorate in nursing and participates in different professional organizations at the local, state and national levels. In addition, they have held clinical, research and administrative positions in a variety of health care agencies.
All modern Audio-Visual Aids including OHP, LCD Projector, Computers, World’s top class Films on Nursing Education etc, are used in teaching-learning process.
Learning is a lifelong process which requires a commitment to personal and professional growth and continued development of individual ability. This pursuit of knowledge and wisdom is the responsibility of both faculty and students.
